My Developer Story

What I Do

I'm Antoine Crenshaw Jr, a full-stack developer who specializes in creating free alternatives to expensive SaaS products. My favorite part of development is the moment when data flows from a carefully crafted API endpoint to the frontend, transforming into something people can actually use.

What I've Built

Issue Tracker

A free bug tracking tool for developers and teams who can't justify paying for Jira or Linear. It cuts through the noise to focus on what matters: sharing bugs quickly with only the essential details. Built with the MERN stack, it handles everything from user authentication to real-time issue updates.

The Challenge: During development, I hit a wall getting my API endpoints to return data correctly. Hours of trial and error taught me that systematic debugging isn't just a time-saver—it's actually enjoyable. That mindset shift changed how I approach problems.

Developer Job Board

A job platform built specifically for development roles, offering an alternative to commission-heavy sites like Upwork. Developers and companies connect directly without the premium fees.

My Journey

I started coding at 22 out of pure curiosity—I wanted to understand what coding really was beyond the surface-level knowledge I had. Within a month, I knew this would be my career.

Like many self-taught developers, I spent two years trapped in tutorial hell, watching courses without building. The breakthrough came when I enrolled in a structured program. My instructor's advice stuck with me: matters more than your stack, and a builder mindset beats coding speed every time.

Now I'm focused on shipping code that solves real-world problems—starting with tools for people who can't afford the premium versions.
